A day with the Hubs on the boat. The "real" only reason he takes me is to take pictures of his guppies. Fishing is the "other woman" in my house! We went out last Thursday when it was 80 degrees and this is just what I snapped with the camera on my phone.
The first one, the tree just looked so pretty and lush I couldn't resist. I imagine it's beautiful when fully blooming. The rest are the hubs doing what he loves best.

Just a little funny to brighten a day.

Went to my most favoritest place on the whole Earth Sunday, THE LIBRARY. My sanctuary, my oasis. Well I guess my oasis is not immune to stupidity either.
I found my books and went to check out. The not new employee says I owe 1.30 in fines. Ok, I don't remember getting a notice but whatever you say. I have only change on me so I count out a gold dollar and three dimes (quick, break out the calculator) and end my transaction. It isn't until I get home that I check the reciept and it says I only paid .80 cents. Huh?
I call the library. The Einstein that answers the phone listens to my story and when I tell her the amount of money I gave and the amount credited she says "yeah" all slow and drawn out. Are you freaking kidding me? I have to say, "A gold dollar is a dollar".
At this point my only place of refuge is destroyed.
I am heart sick.
I will also think long and hard about their tax levy's from now on. Are you sure you need money or did the Einstein do your books?
Ugh!

Mondays are always the fastest day to come to me. I feel like it's always Monday. What happened to lazy weekend days? They sure aren't shy about speeding out of my life. There, I had to release that.

Had an interesting conversation today at work. We have a certain lady we call "baggage". Now "baggage" is good about showing up to work, sometimes, and she sure can carry on a conversation no one cares about but can she work? No. We (my friend and I who do the same job as "baggage") have been carrying her load for quite some time. It is really old. Faced with no raises this year and an economy that tanked we feel everyone should carry their load at least some of the time. Posed this point to our shift supervisor and she said....and I quote, "People should mind their own buisness and do their job." Escuse me bitch? Speak into my clenched fist. I had to walk away before I got fired and possibly jailed on assault charges. Mind my own business. Well, I will. You know what my first order of minding my business is? Scheduled a meeting with the CFO of finance which is my boss, and Human Resources. You know why? You don't pay me nearly enough to take that rude crap from someone, let alone some power trippy wench that thinks her you know what doesn't stink. Move me. Fire me. I'm so over it. Starbucks sounds like my dream job right now. Actually, I'm thinking it's time to go back to school.

Had my son's birthday party this weekend. He turned 12. Punk. Who gave him the ok to grow up? I can't believe I look so young for having such old kids (LOL). My sister and her gaggle of children came up to celebrate with us. Her daughter was OFF her adhd meds. Oh my gosh. That child needs help. She screamed the whole time...ear shattering high pitched screams. She was accusing the kids of trying to kill her, hitting her, telling her she stinks etc. I sadly and personally believe she has been misdiagnosed with adhd when she has something larger going on there. Ruined the whole day. It was such a disaster. She hit my daughter repeatedly, where Hunter finally got pissed and dragged her to the ground by her hair. I'm talking like 3 hours into this fiasco. I didn't have the heart to yell too much at Hunt. I wanted to drop kick her shortly after her arrival. What was my sister thinking? She comes around once a year and this is what she brings me? Next year please just send a card.

I need a vacation. I need medicated. I think I'll settle for a beverage, a bath and then bed.

Too much Easter fun. Who said finding eggs was easy? I snapped this after dinner on Easter Sunday. He ate his plate, had a peep covered cupcake and then disappeared. This is where, and how I found him. They are so sweet when they sleep!

To add to their fun, they are on spring break this week. The weather has been especially nice so far, for which I'm thankful. Who wants a weeks worth of stir crazy bored kids? While I work and the Hubs sleeps they have been at their Grandmother's house "spring cleaning." They have to drag trash bags around the yard and collect debris, sticks, and old toys left out under the snow all winter. They are less than thrilled. So, after one day my daughter calls me at work and asks to have a friend spend the night. Whatever. Well, I have learned to screen friends now. We will just call her little girlfriend "most likely to be pregnant by 13!' Holy crap. The clothes alone scared me. She talked about stuff no eight year old should know of and when they decided to create a dance routine, I swear a close personal family member has got to be a stripper. There is no other explaination. Who lets their children act like that? Now this morning the youngest asked to have a friend over tonight. I know his friends. I'm good with that, and little boys are so different. They could give two hoots about clothes, just give them Matchbox, swords, flashlights, bugs, etc.....

I bought a Kindle a few weeks ago. I'm starting to LOVE the thing! No more waiting for new books to appear at the library. No more paying 25$ plus for new books I can't stand to wait on at the library. Instant access to the book I buy online. No downloading. Easy to keep at my desk with no one being the wiser. I still haven't figured out all the bells and whistles but, oh well. I may stop buying so many paper books. Probably not though. It's an addiction!
